Ritu Pandey, MSc, PhD

Associate Director, CB2 Translational Clinical Bioinformatics
Associate Research Professor, Cellular and Molecular Medicine

Dr. Ritu Pandey’s interest is implementing infrastructure, tools and analytics to enable precision medicine. As a bioinformatics scientist the major thrust of her work is data driven research. She studies stratified patient populations to investigate underlying molecular events by integrated computational analysis of clinical and molecular data from multi-omics projects, as well as translate the datasets into insights that advance understanding of therapeutic targets and response to treatment. She has extensive experience as a bioinformatics investigator on many biomedical research and informatics projects.

She is currently leading the data management effort on a NIDDK (The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases) RC2 grant, an interdisciplinary collaboration for national biorepository and resource for pituitary neuroendocrine tumor translational research.

Ritu Pandey is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, College of Medicine. In her role as an Associate Director at Center for Biomedical Informatics & Biostatistics, she is leading the Translational Clinical Bioinformatics core in building secure data infrastructure and analytics environment for storage and analysis of genome data from patients in association with the clinical data.
